How to upload a plugin to WordPress

(The example plugin I’m going to be using for this tutorial is the Duplicate Posts plugin)

1. Click on the “Download” button for the plugin you want to download and save the ZIP file to your desktop.

2. In the WordPress admin area, hover over “Plugins” and click on “Add New”.

3. In the “Add Plugins” page, click on “Upload Plugin” in the top left which should reveal the following as seen below:

4. Then, click on “Choose File” and look for the ZIP file, then click on “Install Now”.

4. After a while (depending on how big the ZIP file is) you should now be taken to this page:

How to disable the Screen Options button in WordPress using plugin

Hello. Today I’m going to show you how to disable the Screen Options button in WordPress using the “Adminimize” plugin.

1. Install and activate the plugin.

2. Hover over “Settings” and click on “Adminimize” to go to the plugin configuration page.

3. Click on “Global Options”, which should take you to the following section below:

4. In the aforementioned section, check mark the boxes next to “Screen Options”.

5. Click on “Update Options” and the “Screen Options” button should now be disabled.

How to list future upcoming scheduled posts in WordPress

NOTE: This won’t work with all themes in WordPress.

Hello. Today I’m going to show you how to list future upcoming scheduled posts on WordPress using the “SOUP – Show off upcoming posts” plugin.

1. Install and activate the plugin.

2. Visit the “Widgets” page under “Appearance”.

3. Scroll down, look for the “Upcoming Posts” widget and add it to your sidebar.

4. Change the widget settings if you’d like and click “Save”.

5. Visit your WordPress site to see if the widget is working properly.

How to install and activate a WordPress plugin

Hello. Today I’m going to show you how to install and activate a plugin for use on your WordPress site.

1. In the left sidebar of the admin dashboard, hover over “Plugins”, and in the drop-down menu click “Add New”, which will take you to the following page as seen in the image below:

2. You can then look (and search) for which plugin you want to install.

3. Then click on the “Install Now” button and your plugin should be installed in¬†seconds.

4. Then, go back to the “Plugins” page where you should see your recently installed plugin. Click on “Activate” and boom – your plugin is ready for use!

5. You should now see your activated plugin in the sidebar.
